Holiday Guide #6:  Go Cry

Set aside some time to process and see if you need a good cry.   I found that if I can pull off before a stressful event like a family gathering and have a good cry, I can be more present in the encounter.  Basically, I am processing through the backlog of emotions so I can be current and deal with the now rather than the pains of the past.  When I show up emotionally current, I carry an authority and confidence that makes the whole event much more enjoyable for everyone.  A current emotional foundation even helps navigate those pains of the past. Hope this helps.
